Chinese civilisation is one of the oldest continuous civilisations in the world. Written records exist as early as 3500 years ago, while evidence of human populations around the Yellow River go back at least 100,000 years. China brought forth fascinating inventions and discoveries which changed the world: gunpowder, paper, the compass and silk, just to name a few. But behind these exciting moments in history are the battles and internal strive of ambitious emperors and their dynasties. (...)

The antique wooden statues of The Silk Road Collection have a unique style and appeal, along with the cultural value, which is not to be underestimated. Each statue has a story of its own. They all (...)
Back in stock... a very large choice of Bi-discs, from 12 - 40 cm in various colours. Including base. What are Bi-discs? The original function and significance of the Bi are unknown, as the Neolithic cultures have left no written history. From these earliest times they were buried with the dead, as a sky symbol, accompanying the dead into the after world or "sky", with the cong which connected the body with the earth.[ They were placed ceremonially on the body in the grave (...)
The majority of jewelry in our collection, is from the ethnic minority tribe Miao in China. With a population of almost 9 million people, this tribe makes one of the largest minority groups in China. After immigration in a long history, today they live mainly in Guizhou, Yunnan, Hunan, Hubei, Hanain and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Prefecture. They are divided into several branches, such as Black Hmong, White Hmong, Striped Hmong, etc. The Miao people are very skilled at handicrafts, (...)
