This monumental daybed from Shanxi province makes a very fine coffee table. The table has an original rattan top and straight, square legs. Its unadorned, simple structure gives the natural, weathered wood an elegant look, perfect for rustic styles, but also modern homes.
These platform beds were traditionally used for more than just sleeping: it was a social place were people drank together and played games as well.
